I think I've finally got it =O

Wow..After maybe a full year, I think I've finally found a good solution for my uber sensitive skin that freaks out on the drop of a hat. The road was difficult and full of disappointment!

Let me give you the list of the products I used that absolutely FAILED:
First, I tried La Roche milk cleanser for dry skin. HORRIBLE! It was greasy and it left my skin greasy no matter how long I rinsed. Maybe one day I'll try another milk cleanser from them, but I don't feel like dishing out another $20 for something the might not work.

I was on this organic kick, because I thought that chemicals would just kill me. So I tried this organic pumpkin enzyme foaming wash. I thought "hey, even though foaming is kind of harsher for my skin, it's organic right?" Wrong! >_< Not only did it not help the acne, but it also kind of dried out my skin. That wouldn't have been so bad if I didn't already have dry skin...

So I tried L'oreal's new (at that time it was new) skin genesis. It looked promising and I liked the fact that it said it would balance out your skin's pH level. Which is good, because I don't like to use toners. That also turned out to be disappointing. Not as disappointing as my La Roche cleanser, because it was only a fraction of the price (so I guess I'm heading in the right direction?)

About two weeks ago I was doing some organizing and found this unopened Spectro Gel cleanser for sensitive and acne prone skin. It was one of those care packages you could by when school started. It came with shampoo, a razor, lip balm, heat pack and things like that. I never bothered to use it, because I didn't think something so in expensive would be good for my skin.
I didn't think anything was going to happen, let alone anything good. But this cleanser was a lot different than anything else I've used. It really was just gel that I smoothed over my face. I personally massage it into my problem areas (my cheeks and nose) and let it sit for about 2 minutes, then rinse it off. Then finish off with the lush enchanted eye cream followed by my Cetaphil dry skin moisturizer.

My skin hasn't fully recovered, but it's looking a heck better than it has in a looong time.

  2. heyy, I think spectro gel came out with a cleanser that deals with stressed skin~ mm alot of other companies are starting to do the same
Also as gross as putting oil onto your skin, mineral oils massaged onto your skin before washing it off with a warm/hot towel can really improve your skin ^_^
